The Angelo Mall is named after the late ANGELO SAVVAS GEORGIOU, whose vision and foresight was to create a mall in Nigel to provide a safe and convenient shopping experience for Nigel residents. The lack of national franchises in Nigel is responsible for the bulk of Nigel residents shopping in nearby towns and malls, thus allowing Nigel's income to be spent elsewhere. The late Angelo planned for years ahead to keep Nigel's income in Nigel, thus boosting Nigel's economy; unfortunately, the late ANGELO SAVVAS GEORGIOU passed away on July 27, 1993 and did not live long enough to see his dream become a reality. On June 18, 2009 the opening of the Angelo Mall was launched. The Angelo Mall, with an area of 5.7 hectares which equates to 57 440 square metres, is situated at the corner of the old Heidelberg Road and Station Road. Phase One, which is currently completed and launched, comprises 14 496 square metres, while Phase Two comprises 5 324 square metres and Phase Three 2 332 square metres. In total, upon completion, the Angelo Mall will boast 22 152 square metres.
